As The Alliance is engaged in the now. strategy, our prayer theme is now. pray. The word now can communicate our current reality—what we are now––and it can also communicate a sense of urgency. The final week will specifically remind us of the urgency of evangelism. Therefore, we call this week’s theme Evangelize now. derived from 2 Corinthians 6:2: “For he says, 'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”
Jesus has given the Great Commission mandate to all of us to go and teach what He has taught, sharing the message of gospel so that everyone has the opportunity to experience the salvation that is found only through Jesus Christ. To fulfill this mission, it is important for every follower of Christ to live out this sense of evangelistic urgency, seeking opportunities and walking through doors the Lord opens in order to share the gospel with people God has put around us. Let’s pray together!
