The Gospel of Mark truly does announce the Good News of how Jesus Christ brought victory over sin and death through His death and resurrection. Throughout the book, the Holy Spirit inspired Mark to emphasize more what Jesus did vs. what Jesus said. Today we consider Mark's opening comments and how, in these verses, he describes three dynamics of God's redemptive plan: It began a long time ago, It involves repentance for forgiveness of sin. God uses faithful workers to carry out His redemptive plan.
