What is Inspirational Tuesday?
A monthly worship service for people with disabilities, including IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities) and mental health challenges.
The “Why”: What is the purpose of Inspirational Tuesday?
Few worship and discipleship opportunities exist in the Sandhills specifically designed for adults experiencing these challenges, especially alongside their peers.
People with IDD and/or mental illness are "people groups" facing unique challenges with specific needs (physical, communication, sensory, emotional, relational, and more).
The Great Commission, the Church’s “mission statement”, is to “go and make disciples” and “be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
We believe the Lord has presented an open door for worship and discipleship in our “Samaria”, among this marginalized group of people in our community.
Who is the audience?
People with disabilities including those involved with Monarch, Linden Lodge, and other groups.
Open to all, especially people with disabilities and their caregivers, family members, and friends.
How can I get involved?
Pray. Commit to pray for God’s work among the people attending, their families, and those serving in this ministry.
Volunteer. We are currently recruiting the following team members to serve:
Welcome team (greeters and ushers)
Media team members (sound and visual)
Worship leaders and teams
